We are now worshiping in our new church building at 301 N. Main St. each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Come and join us!
If you would like to listen to Bishop Gregory Palmer's sermon from the Palm Sunday worship service on March 29, a recording is available via this website.
For those that would like to hear the anthem composed specifically for the building dedication on April 12, a recording is available via this website. This anthem, composed by Jonathon Wey and titled "Unless the Lord Builds This House", was performed by the Chancel Choir and the Ohio Northern University Singers under the direction of Dr. Ben Ayling, II, Associate Professor of Music.
Kroger Cares Program
Ada FUMC is partnering up with the Kroger Company through the Kroger Cares program as an opportunity to raise funds for the church. Every time you shop at a Kroger location and scan your Kroger Plus card, a percentage of that sale is returned to the church. Read more about this.....click here!
Church Construction Site Pictures
We are grateful for the vision of the RCM Architects firm and the construction execution by Thomas & Marker Construction. On Feb. 13, the church site passed its last inspection and we now have occupancy of the new building. Some of our more recent pictures are available below, but feel free to view the past year of construction by visiting our archived weekly pictures.
Gift Giving Opportunities
Ada First has been blessed by the financial donations thus far to support the rebuilding of the church structure The congregation has pledged over $700,000 in a capital campaign towards the construction of the new building, and the community and friends of the church have also made financial donations via the church office, Liberty National Bank, or the West Ohio Conference of the UMC. We have been asked if the church will accept financial donations towards purchases that will help to equip or furnish the interior of the building, and the easy answer is Yes! Click on the link below to view items that are needed, along with the instructions on who to contact if you are interested in donating towards a specific purchase.
The church is maintaining a Legacy Book to record the names of those who have financially supported Ada First United Methodist Church during these past three years. The Legacy Book is on display in the church gathering area and will continue to be updated as financial gifts are received. If you notice any errors in the book, please contact Brian Hofman, chair of the administrative council (419-230-8319 or firstname.lastname@example.org )
